The UFT Delegate Assembly approved four resolutions at its June 11 meeting:
- to authorize the UFT Executive Board to consider, make or modify endorsements during the summer in order to have a timely impact on any such campaigns. An exception was carved out for a mayoral endorsement, which would require a special Delegate Assembly.
- to permit in-person and online attendance at Delegate Assemblies, a measure first adopted in June 2021 during the pandemic, to continue for the 2025–26 school year.
- to encourage UFT school chapters to establish school-based committees to defend immigrant students.
- to endorse four candidates for borough president, Mark Levine for city comptroller and incumbent Jumaane Williams for public advocate in the June 24 New York City primary.
