Resolution for contingency endorsements of city offices

The United Federation of Teachers’ Delegate Assembly authorizes the Executive Board to consider, make or modify endorsements during the summer in order to have a timely impact on any such campaigns.

Resolution to extend the hybrid DA rules

The UFT decides the rule allowing for hybrid attendance adopted in June 2021 be continued for the 2026-27 school year and that in June 2027 UFT delegates will revisit the question of the nature of the Delegate Assemblies for the following year, if not sooner.

Resolution for the UFT to organize a campaign to defend social security, Medicare, and Medicaid resolution

The UFT and its Retiree Chapter will develop a comprehensive organizing campaign to defend Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid by developing a rapid response network and an ‘organizers tool kit.’

Resolution on member engagement during 2027 contract negotiations

The UFT will survey all members to identify needs, shape priorities, and set contract demands and the negotiating committee shall be formed promptly, allowing sufficient time for training on collective bargaining.

Resolution in support of Carl Wilson for New York City Council District 3

The United Federation of Teachers endorses Carl Wilson as the next City Council Member representing District 3 in the special election on April 28.

Resolution to endorse Thomas M. Brown for re-election to the NYC Teachers’ Retirement Board

The United Federation of Teachers endorses Thomas M. Brown for election as a Teacher-Member of the Teachers’ Retirement Board of the City of New York for a three-year term beginning in 2026.
