Why do I need to have an email address to register?
Email addresses are needed in order for the UFTWF program to communicate with you regarding your courses, to notify you about waitlist openings and for attending live or virtual events.

If I want to register for multiple courses, seminars and/or trips within either the fall or intersession programs, do I register for one at a time or all together?
You can select multiple choices from either the fall 2024 or intersession 2025 programs. Please ensure you select all your courses, seminars, and trips together before clicking "next," because you cannot modify your selection at a later date.

How many courses, seminars and/or trips may I register for?
You may register for a maximum of five trips and five courses per session, but you can register for an unlimited amounts of seminars.

I don’t see a particular course/trip on the session selection page. Is it being offered this semester?
Only approved courses are listed on the session selection page, so if you do not see a course you are interested in attending, it is not currently being offered. Please check back during a future session.

I did not receive a verification code on my phone. What should I do?
Verification codes are also sent to registrants’ emails, so check your email. If you still have not received a verification code via phone or email, please call UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310

I am getting an error message when I enter my UFT Member ID on the registration website. How do I fix this?
If you are sure you are entering the correct member ID number and are still unable to register, please call UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310 or the Cvent Support Hub Line at 888-465-0922

I tried to make a payment for my courses, but the payment failed. However, I still received a confirmation email. Do I need to submit my payment again?
In this instance, we hold your seat and approve your registration as a courtesy. Look for a payment due email which will allow you to submit your payment again. If payment is made within three business days after you receive the payment due email, your original registration will be honored. If payment is not received within that time frame, your registration will not be retained and we will open up the course to someone on the waitlist or a new registrant.

How do I know which courses I am registered for?
All participants will receive an email confirmation upon registering for a course, so check your email inbox. If you have trouble finding the email/s, search for “Si Beagle” in the subject line, or check your email’s junk/spam folder.

How do I know if the course I registered for is being conducted virtually or in person?
The email confirmation you received upon registering will list the format of the course. If you have trouble finding the email, search for “Si Beagle” in the subject line, or check your email’s junk/spam folder.

I have not received a registration nor a reminder email even though I registered for a course. What should I do?
If you have trouble finding the email, search for “Si Beagle” in the subject line, or check your email’s junk/spam folder. If you still have not received an email and your registration was successful, please call UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310

How does the registration waitlist work?
When the maximum number of participants has been reached for a course, seminar, trip or event, any member requesting to be placed in that same offering will be waitlisted. If space becomes available, then an email is sent to inform the member they have been removed from the waitlist.

Priority registration is given to UFT members, so members' spouses and NYSUT, AFT or PSC members are automatically waitlisted until after the session registration deadline. If space is still available after the registration deadline, an email notification will be sent to let them know they were taken off the waitlist and must make a payment in order to be placed in that offering.

I am a spouse of a UFT retiree or an AFT/NYSUT member. Can I register for a course/trip?
Yes, but UFT WF members receive priority registration. To register, go to the Si Beagle page on the UFT website. Click on register > Select spouse/AFT NYSUT and follow the steps on the registration website. Non-members will be waitlisted for courses and will receive confirmation of registration after the registration deadline only if space permits.

I am currently waitlisted for a course. When will I receive confirmation if I am taken off the waitlist?
Waitlisted registrants are only approved for registration if space is available after the course registration deadline. You will receive an email confirmation if space permits and you are able to attend a particular course.

How do I cancel/drop my course?
Because of high demand, we do not allow cancellations for courses and do not issue refunds. If you will not be attending, please let us know by calling UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310 so we can open up registration to someone currently on the waitlist.

How can I switch or modify courses or trips I have registered for?
Modifying existing registrations is not guaranteed as they are subject to availability. Please call UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310 to inquire about options that may be available.

How do I cancel/drop my trip?
Cancellations of trips must be made by written request at least four weeks prior to the trip date. Please email Lynn Lospenuso, Director, UFTWF Retiree Programs at lynn.lospenuso@uftwf.org to request cancellation. If you are able to cancel, and you paid for the trip online, you should receive the refund about five business days later. Refunds for trips paid by check are processed manually also via check and will be received by the end of the current semester.

If it is too late to cancel, no refund will be issued. However, if you will not be attending, please let us know by calling UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310 so we can open up registration to someone currently on the waitlist.

My course has been canceled. When will I receive my refund?
If you paid for the course online, you should receive the refund about five business days later. Refunds for courses paid by check are processed manually also via check and will be received by the end of the current semester.

My course is being held virtually, but I haven't received a link to join the class yet. What should I do?
Links to join virtual courses are not emailed to participants until 6 p.m. the day before the course starts. A reminder email with a link is also sent an hour prior to the course start time.

I am trying to log on to my virtual class, but the “Join Session” button is inactive/grayed out. How do I join the class?
The “Join Session” button only becomes active five minutes before the class' start time and remains active until the scheduled end time.

What if I have more specific questions or need additional help?
Please call UFTWF Retiree Programs at 212-510-6310.
