Help take the chill out of winter for New York City students in need by making a donation to the UFT Middle School Division's annual coat drive.
Your monetary donation will go toward the purchase of new winter coats and accessories (scarves, mittens, gloves and hats) for New York City public school students living in temporary housing.
You can bring or ship your donations (we can only accept brand-new items) to:
- Any UFT borough office
- UFT headquarters, attn: Richard Mantell, Middle School Division, 52 Broadway, New York, NY 10004.
Donations will continue to be accepted throughout the calendar year.
You may also mail a check (made payable to UFT Middle School Thanksgiving Event) to the above address.
You can involve your school community by:
- Organizing a winter coat drive (new coats only)
- Organizing fundraiser activities
- Collecting monetary donations
- Organizing a penny drive
