The UFT helped students from the Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance get a head start on their futures on April 1 by hosting the high school’s annual Career Day at the union’s Brooklyn borough office.

The School Leadership Team at PS 1 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, held its April 8 meeting at the UFT’s Brooklyn borough office and turned it into a learning experience for parents and educators.

The power of team work was on display at the annual Academic High Schools Awards Celebration on April 12 at UFT headquarters in Manhattan, where outstanding city educators, public high schools and union activists were honored.


Tech4All, an all-day information session and technology job fair, drew 500 participants and 25 employers to the UFT's Bronx borough office on April 3.

At the annual showcase designed to promote the accomplishments of the newly renamed UFT United Community Schools Initiative, the spotlight was on PS/IS 184 in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

It was a day of learning and fun for the 600 educators who attended the UFT’s 12th annual Early Childhood Conference on March 16. The conference theme “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate!” spotlighted the importance of a holistic approach to educating young learners.
