In the spirit of the holiday season, I wanted to make sure you knew about a wonderful free program for family child care providers like us that I’m already signed up for. Thanks to a grant from the NYS Department of Health, the UFT’s Provider Wellness program is able to provide free dental/vision coverage, mental health and wellbeing services, and even reimbursement for insurance premiums we pay for insurance purchased through the NY State of Health marketplace. If you’re not already signed up, I want to encourage you to “give yourself a gift” this holiday season and join me by enrolling. You can learn more or enroll by visiting www.uft.org/provider-wellness or by calling 212-598-9503 (they can even take your enrollment over the phone if you don’t feel like doing it yourself).
