More than 2,100 students from 48 high schools traveled with their teachers to attend the UFT Bronx College Fair on March 22 at the union’s borough office.

The UFT’s Hellenic American Educators Association took a trip back in time at its Greek Independence Day Celebration on March 22 at UFT headquarters, where historical consultant and music composer Vassilios Chrissochos gave a video presentation titled “1821 — The Liberation of Greece.”

The feeling that “we’re all in this together” was a big part of the fourth annual Men in Education symposium on March 2 at UFT headquarters in Manhattan.

Nearly 100 UFT members turned out at union headquarters in Manhattan on March 14 to learn the latest information in treating breast cancer from Dr. Larry Norton of Memorial Sloan Kettering.

More than 70 CTE educators — and the success of career and technical education in city public schools — were celebrated at the UFT’s 2019 Career and Technical Education Awards Ceremony on Feb. 8 at UFT headquarters in lower Manhattan. 

Seventy members attended a UFT Meet and Greet on Jan. 30 at the Bayard Rustin Educational Complex in Chelsea, where they heard a presentation on topics including pension, licensing and certification, safety and teacher evaluations.
