Feb. 7-11 is National School Counseling Week
The following email was sent from School Counselors Chapter Leader Rosemarie Thompson to all school counselors on Monday, Jan. 31
The week of Feb. 7 is National School Counseling Week, an occasion to celebrate and raise awareness of the work we do. The American School Counselor Association (ASCA), which sponsors National School Counseling Week, says this week of action is meant to "focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems" and "highlight the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve success and plan their careers."
The 2022 theme is School Counseling: Better Together. Check out the lineup of events for the week.Photo challenge
The ASCA invites counselors and our colleagues submit photos via social media for each day's theme throughout the week. Simply download the printable sign with a prompt, print it, write your response and post a picture of you holding the sign on social media. Be sure to tag #ASCA and #NSCW22 in your posts.
