Middle school teachers, high school teachers and elementary teachers in eight-period schools are programmed for professional activity period(s).
During the program preference process, teachers select three activities from the professional activity menu established by the principal in consultation with the chapter leader. The professional activity menu includes the number of positions for each activity , the qualifications, duties and responsibilities, and must include no fewer than six different activities. The preference and selection process is outlined in Article 7 of the contract.
If you want to participate in an activity not listed on the menu, you can do so with the permission of your principal.

- Multisession high schools and other schools with a six-hour, 50-minute workday have had professional activity periods reduced to four per week, with the current fifth professional activity period converted to self-directed Other Professional Work.
