As a result of the contract negotiated by the UFT with New York State on behalf of the Family Child Care Providers of New York City, the UFT receives millions in state funds to provide a host of quality professional development programs for our child care providers. These providers are often the first teachers our city's youngest citizens encounter and, as such, help prepare our children for an easier, successful transition to pre-K, kindergarten and first grade. The programs include state-mandated courses for providers to receive or renew a license, a course required for informal (legally-exempt) providers to qualify for the enhanced market rate, and classes in CPR, first aid, hygiene, and safety.
Please note: All registration fees must be paid by money order only. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. No children of any age are permitted to attend. Registrants must arrive on time for classes. Those arriving with children or late will not be allowed to attend.
