LearnUFT courses for Social Workers/Psychologists/LMHCs

As a state-approved provider of Continuing Education hours for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Psychologists and Licensed Mental Health Counselors, the UFT's LearnUFT program offers low-cost professional learning opportunities specifically designed to meet our members’ needs.

Every LMSW and LCSW must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education courses for each triennial registration period. No more than 12 hours of continuing education activities in any 36 month period, or one-third of the total hours in periods of other length, may consist of self-study educational activities from New York State Education Department-approved providers.

Licensed Mental Health Counselors are also eligible to take these courses and earn CEUs.

Register for a professional development workshop for social workers and psychologists. This 2-hour session will be an introduction to the basics of Wellness. Move into 2025 with the knowledge geared towards the foundations needed for health optimization. Dr. Pina LoGiudice, ND, LAc, who’s been a naturopathic physician for over 20 years will share her experience on what has worked.

Register for a professional development workshop for social workers and psychologists. This two hour session presented by Dr. Pina LoGiudice, ND, LAc, will discuss topics related to women's hormonal topics. Participants will earn 2 CE hours upon completion of the course.

As science advances, we learn more and more about the connection between the integrity of our digestive system on mood and mental health. These are important to understand as clinicians working with our students. The food we eat and how we feel has an effect on our minds and choices. Dr. Pina LoGiudice, ND, LAc, will discuss the digestive system, leaky gut and the microbiome and its impacts on our brain.

There are more food preservatives and pesticides in our food than ever before that impacts our moods and thoughts. As educators, our busy schedules, makes harder to know what to eat, when and why. In this session presented by Dr. Pina LoGiudice, ND, LAc, participants will discuss the basic tenets of good nutrition, and simple ways to cook foods for optimal health.
