New York State Supreme Court Judge Laurence Love today signed a temporary restraining order in the case brought by the Municipal Labor Committee against the city’s mandate of COVID vaccines for all city workers.

While temporarily restraining the city from enforcing the mandate, the judge’s order schedules a hearing on the lawsuit for Sept. 22, 2021, though it is possible the city will take further legal initiatives before that time. The mandate is scheduled to go into effect on Sept. 27, 2021.
