Register to attend Future in Focus, an event to show public high school students what unionized careers in New York City look like. Students will hear about unions, collective bargaining and the impact of organized labor on our society. In an open exhibition hall, students will move freely between tables and speak with union members representing public- and private-sector unions and building trades. They'll learn about the occupations represented, the qualifications required and apprenticeship opportunities.

District 75 teachers eligible for tenure within the next two years are invited to a special in-person seminar. Register to learn more about the tenure process. 

Register for the monthly meeting of the UFT Occupational and Physical Therapists Chapter. Attendees will have the chance to meet their colleagues and union representatives. Registrants will be provided with chapter and union updates as well as have their questions answered.

Register for a professional development workshop for social workers and psychologists. Participants will explore how to enhance their school social work leadership through a comprehensive approach that includes understanding adaptive leadership techniques, effective communication and collaboration, and stakeholder relationship building. Through interactive activities, discussions, and practical exercises, attendees will leave with a personalized leadership toolkit to apply in their professional practice. Participants will earn 2 CE hours upon completion of the course. After the course is attended in full and the evaluation is complete, a signed certificate of completion will be emailed participants.

At this clinic for UFT members in Tier 6 of the Teachers' Retirement System, we'll talk about pension milestones, how to calculate your final average salary and reimbursement for unused CAR days when you retire.

The workshop will outline strategies for living within your means while you save to meet your short- and long-term financial goals. Topics include budgeting, tips for saving, reducing debt and planning for retirement.

Administrative Education Officers & Education Analysts and Education Officers & Education Analysts Chapter members are invited to attend an informational meeting with the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS). They will discuss salary ranges, promotional and open exams, and professional development opportunities for public school employees.

Register to attend a workshop about the "Big Six" skills and competencies of literacy instruction in grades K-2. Participants will discuss how these skills are essential to developing lifelong readers. In this two-hour session, attendees will practice engaging, high-impact strategies that educators can use to reinforce early literacy skills.
