I have my students write ‘daily affirmations’ each morning on dry-erase squares. I used to write affirmations for them, but I decided that I wanted my students to be responsible for setting their mood and feelings for the day. This small investment in positive thinking can have a big impact on one’s well-being, and it’s especially beneficial for children as they build their self-image and learn how to navigate their feelings.
