In accordance with the 2014 DOE-UFT contract, all UFT-represented employees who worked from 2009 to 2018 (or a portion of that period) received a lump-sum payment in October 2019. The payment represents 25 percent of the money owed in 2018. There will be one more payment in October 2020.

Those who retired on or before June 30, 2014, already received their full lump-sum entitlement in the spring of 2015.

Retired pedagogues and paraprofessionals were paid in a supplemental check dated Oct. 25. Retired H-Bank titles were paid in a supplemental check dated Oct. 17. Inactive per session were paid in a check dated Dec. 5.  Please note, some banks post the following day.

Retirees who receive their pension checks through direct deposit had their lump-sum payments deposited in the same account as their pension checks. If pension checks are mailed, lump-sum checks were sent to the same address.
