Hospital Schools November Chapter Meeting

School Psychologists Appreciation Day 2024

Almost 350 school psychologists gathered in-person at Shanker Hall and virtually on Nov. 8 for their chapter’s 8th annual Psychologists Appreciation Day and professional development. Coming together under the theme “Wellness: Make It a Priority,” the psychologists learned about strategies to support students utilizing an integrative approach — physical and mental health.

Scheduled Benefit Plan

The UFT Welfare Fund provides dental benefits through two programs: the Scheduled Benefit Plan, which provides services through the Welfare Fund panel of dentists or a dentist of your choice; and Dentcare, a no-cost dental HMO.

Resolution in support of fairness in excessing

The UFT will advocate for a policy that does not require excessing to disproportionately affect UFT-represented employees or negatively impact the ability to provide services for students.
