Register for a professional development workshop for social workers and psychologists. As science advances, we learn more and more about the connection between the integrity of our digestive system on mood and mental health. These are important to understand as clinicians working with our students. The food we eat and how we feel has an effect on our minds and choices. Dr. Pina LoGiudice, ND, LAc, will discuss the digestive system, leaky gut and the microbiome and its impacts on our brain.

UFT’s Member Assistance Program’s professional development provides opportunities to earn continuing education units toward your license renewal. We recognize the importance of lifelong learning as social workers and mental health counselors. We want to support you by providing quality professional development courses on a variety of topics. We are also a state provider of continuing education credits for licensed social workers, mental health counselors, and licensed psychologists. Members seeking credits will have access to an array of clinical courses at a free or discounted rate to help enhance their work.

Participants will earn 2 CE hours upon completion of the course. After the course is attended in full and the evaluation is complete, a signed certificate of completion will be emailed to you.
