I use my class microphone to engage my students. I love using it as I bounce around the room, sometimes pretending I'm a talk show host or a performer. Even better is when my students use it. They share their writing and answers to math problems, and if they are lucky enough to earn lunch with the teacher, they may even get to sing into it. It's really contributed positively to my classroom community and helps build confidence in even my most reluctant kids.
