Coronavirus resources for NYC families

The following email was sent on March 26 from UFT Director of Community and Parent Engagement Nicholas Cruz to the UFT's contact list of public school parents.

I hope you're staying safe and healthy during this difficult time. I want to share with you some news and resources that hopefully will ease some of the stress of the coronavirus crisis and school closings.

We have a new family resource hub on the parent section of the UFT website where you'll find the latest information from the city Department of Education about immediate services including grab-and-go meals and devices for remote learning. You'll also find resource lists for free at-home entertainment, online learning tools, financial relief and free food.

Visit the UFT's coronavirus resource hub for parents

We'll keep updating the website with the latest information from the city Department of Education and with additional family resources every week, so keep an eye on it.

If you have questions, need support or have information to share with other NYC parents, please contact your borough's UFT parent liaison:
