Anne Bush, Age 72

Anne Bush was a proud member of the UFT for over three decades, ending her long career as a teacher for gifted and talented kindergarten students at PS 153 in Queens. She was known as a dedicated, compassionate and energetic educator who loved using the outdoors as her classroom — taking her students on nature walks and science-related field trips. Her love of arts and crafts was reflected in the creative projects her students produced. Anne gave her late husband Thomas Bush the gift of life by donating him one of her kidneys. She is survived by her brother, Dr. James Malcolmson of New Mexico, her son Eric Bush and his wife Jennifer Bradshaw of Florida, NY, and her son Paul Bush and his wife Jennifer Bush of Massapequa Park, NY, and her two granddaughters, Jenna and Alyssa Bush.
