Regarding “A look back and a farewell” [July 5]: The Speech Improvement Chapter was well-established before 1991. Al Waxman was the chapter leader before Mindy Karten Bornemann, who was on the executive board at that time. She restructured the existing chapter, which was available for UFT members.
