To the Editor:

I cannot express vehemently enough my disgust with Patrick Sprinkle’s piece [“How to teach 9/11,” Teacher to Teacher, June 27].

While we should be considerate to all beliefs and religions, the tone of his article sounds like we should apologize to the Muslim world for provoking the attack on the World Trade Center. Our children should be taught to be American citizens, not citizens of the world. Political correctness to the extreme will be the end of America as we know it.
