Regarding a Nov. 1 article about UFT Welfare Fund members having special access to the Hospital for Special Surgery, thanks to a new partnership between the UFT Welfare Fund and the hospital: 

I had hip replacement surgery at HSS, and it could not have been more successful. It was done late on a Friday. I was home the next afternoon and proceeded to walk across a room unaided. These folks are sensational.
