Responding to a UFT Facebook post about special education staffing shortages:

Stop having principals nominate people for hires like substitute teachers and paraprofessionals. Instead, hire through a hiring process in which applications are accepted and people are hired without nominations. These principals don’t know these people who want these jobs and are not nominating them for hire.
