To the Editor:

A short time ago, I wrote an email informing UFT Vice President Carmen Alvarez of the difficulties I was having in regards to getting paid for my SESIS work. She immediately informed me that my email was forwarded to the appropriate party for investigation.

I was so excited to find out that I will be receiving a check this month. Carmen’s quick response and help has renewed my faith in the union that I represented at PS 21 in the Bronx for 23 years, prior to my retirement in July 2012.
