It is about time that the NYPD decided to make it mandatory for all of its school safety agents to have to wear bulletproof vests both inside and outside the school buildings where they are deployed to keep students safe. Unfortunately, there has been and continues to be more and more violent confrontations between students in the classroom and also outside school, which have lead to some students being injured in these fights.

Hopefully, school safety agents will now feel more secure and better prepared to do their jobs of keeping our kids safe, both inside and outside the classroom. The job these men and women have is certainly not easy.
