A court hearing was held on Nov. 23 before a state judge presiding over the lawsuits involving the NYC Medicare Advantage Plus Plan. Nothing was decided. The two sides agreed to continue to talk and will go back before the judge on Dec. 8.
The judge earlier ordered an extension of the opt‑out period to give Medicare‑eligible retirees and medical providers more time to learn about this unique health care plan. A new deadline has not yet been set.
Thank you for your patience. We’ll continue to keep you informed about any new developments.
