The UFT filed a union-initiated grievance over the rate of pay for members who participated in curriculum training this summer for enVisionmath.
When members registered for the training, the posting indicated they would receive the per-session rate of $51.13 per hour. However, the city Department of Education now states that these members will instead receive the staff development rate of $23.30 per hour.
"Members have a right to get what they signed up for, and we are going to fight to make sure that they get it," UFT Secretary LeRoy Barr said.
The training was open to common branch teachers.
