Earn CTLE hours with LearnUFT
As a state-approved provider of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) hours, the UFT's LearnUFT program offers low-cost professional learning opportunities specifically designed to meet our members’ needs. State regulations now require all teachers who hold professional certificates and paraprofessionals who hold Level III teaching assistant certificates to collect and track 100 professional development hours (known as CTLE hours) by a state-approved provider in five-year cycles. See our current offerings and also check our UFT courses page.
Please note: CTLE credits will not be given for workshops that have been taken previously.
Upcoming Virtual Sessions
Register here for a virtual CTLE workshop for pedagogues and paraprofessionals in elementary schools and pre-K centers. Research has shown that for play pedagogy to be effective, educators must have a clear rationale and understand the value of play. In this interactive session, participants will identify how preparation for intentional interactions, experience and real or imagined spaces make up the art of learning through play. Participants will leave with a toolkit filled with goodies for incorporating play in their classrooms.
