For an assignment on the immune system, since the content is sometimes a little challenging for students, I decided to combine art and health. Students were paired, and each pair researched white or red blood cells to understand how our bodies use them to protect us. Students had the opportunity to use their imaginations to create their own cartoons to explain how our bodies are protected by our immune systems.
