The UFT launched a television ad on June 3 calling on Gov. Hochul and the state Health Department to enforce the state's landmark 2021 safe staffing law.
The 30-second spot, titled "Safety First," calls out Hochul and the state health department for allowing hospitals to ignore the law that requires safe and reasonable nurse-to-patient ratios.
The ad is part of a six-figure buy that will run this week in Albany, appearing on local and cable news channels along with Hulu, YouTube, other streaming services, and social media.
The spot was produced by Andi Johnson, a partner in the television division of GPS Impact.
