Medicare Part B 2023 IRMAA reimbursements are scheduled to be issued by October 2024.
Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA) eligibility for Medicare Part B is determined based on a retiree’s modified adjusted gross income and filing status. Retired UFT members with higher incomes may be eligible for IRMAA reimbursement because they pay more than the standard Medicare Part B premium. Those retirees who are eligible for the IRMAA reimbursement must submit the IRMAA 2023 application along with the 2023 Social Security Benefits letter that they received in November 2022 and the 2023 Social Security 1099 form that they received in January 2024.
New York City’s Health Benefits Program will begin to process the 2023 IRMAA applications in June.
