  • $30-per-hour starting pay
  • 180 hours PTO
  • Union representation at disciplinary hearings and a formal procedure that is actually followed
  • Promotions based on tenure, experience and job performance instead of nepotism
  • A safe workplace

RESOLVED, that the UFT stand in solidarity with the “Unionize Amazon: Northern Kentucky KCVG” organizing committee and will render all possible mutual aid to them in their struggle for the above demands, including by announcing our union’s support to our members and supporters via email, social media and other union communication channels; and be it further

RESOLVED, that this labor organization will donate at least $1,000 to the above Organizing Committee, following the example of brother Ryan Timlin, president of ATU Local 1005 (Minneapolis, MN), as a first step towards building the resources necessary for them to sustain their fight; and be it further

RESOLVED, that this labor organization will instruct its members that they are not to cross any picket lines that the workers at Unionize Amazon: Northern Kentucky KCVG may set up in order to pressure their employer; and be it further

RESOLVED, that we will gladly give mutual aid to their struggle from the resources at our disposal, both through donations whether cash or in kind including but not limited to the use of food and other supplies, communications media, our buildings, staff and printing facilities; and that we will mobilize our members, their families and community supporters to such rallies, picket lines and demonstrations as Unionize Amazon: Northern Kentucky KCVG may decide to call; and be it further

RESOLVED, that we urge our union’s national union and the rest of the organized labor movement to pass similar resolutions and lend all possible support to KCVG workers and their union, and that we will transmit a copy of this resolution to our union’s national leadership.
