Resolution on class size
UFT chapter leaders and delegates will monitor the class size reduction in their schools each year to make sure that we move towards total compliance towards the provisions in the state law.
Resolution urging repeal of the Comstock Act
The UFT calls upon lawmakers and advocacy groups to take proactive measures to protect reproductive rights and oppose any efforts to undermine access to essential reproductive health care services.
Resolution in support of fairness in excessing
The UFT will advocate for a policy that does not require excessing to disproportionately affect UFT-represented employees or negatively impact the ability to provide services for students.
Resolution on the referral of children of asylum seekers to special education
The UFT will promote and advocate for practices in our school communities that support children of asylum seekers in adapting to their new language and educational environment.
Resolution calling for a fairer pension COLA for UFT retirees
The UFT will campaign to establish fair and sustainable cost-of-living adjustments to pensions for retired UFT members and other city workers by significantly improving the COLA benefit.
Resolution commemorating the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots
The UFT will continue their efforts to support the LGBTQIA+ community by denouncing anti-LGBT legislation, hosting trainings and educational town halls, and with a strong presence at this year's Pride March.
