Resolution in support of the UFT endorsing Erik Bottcher in his primary election for City Council
The UFT endorses Erik Bottcher in his primary election for New York City Council District 3 as we believe he will be a strong ally for working people, our schools and our community.
Resolution honoring the 60th anniversary of the founding of the UFT
We vow to continue our work to preserve public education, protect workers’ rights and to do our part in solidarity with our fellow workers to strive for a world where all of us share justly in the fruits of our labor, each provided with the means to live and thrive.
Resolution to lobby for French translations of all state exams
The UFT will identify and work with community leaders and lobby for NYSED to offer French translation, in addition to Haitian Creole, for all state exams that are currently translated.
Resolution to support earthquake victims in Puerto Rico
The UFT will partner with NYSUT and the AFT to provide disaster relief to affected regions and encourage and assist members to support earthquake victims in Puerto Rico.
Resolution against recent hate-filled attacks
The UFT reaffirms its opposition to hate and discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, sexual orientation and gender.
Resolution in support of improved Social Security COLA
The UFT urges its affiliates-NYSUT, the AFT, the NEA, ARA, and all of its allies in the labor and senior movements to strongly support the legislation which changes CPI-W to CPI-E as the index used to calculate the Social Security COLA.
